Project "Green Knesset" - Including the Establishment of a Solar System for Electricity Production under the "Net Metering" Arrangement

Advice is proud to provide the first parliamentary solar inverter in the country.
The "Green Knesset" project, which includes the establishment of a solar system for electricity production under the "net metering" arrangement on the roof of the Knesset and energy efficiency improvements in the Knesset building, was launched on Wednesday, January 2, 2014, in the presence of Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, Minister of Environmental Protection Amir Peretz, and Minister of Infrastructure, Energy, and Water Silvan Shalom. This decision will save the Knesset hundreds of thousands of shekels by reducing energy consumption by a third in electricity and water.

The model of the solar system established on the roof of the Knesset and launched during the ceremonial event by the Knesset Speaker was established and supplied by Advice, specializing in solutions for net metering solar systems, using Solaredge inverters with leading Israeli technology that drives innovation in the inverter market in Israel and worldwide.
As part of Phase 1 of the project, which includes 13 different projects focusing on energy and water, the establishment of the solar system for electricity production from renewable energy on the roof of the Knesset building, covering an area of 4,650 square meters, is included.

Minister of Environmental Protection Amir Peretz stated at the event that "finally, the Knesset presents a green line that is a consensus and proves again that environmental issues cross borders and parties. Saving energy expenditures and investing them in social and environmental avenues means strengthening the connection between social justice, environmental justice, and peace. While leading ministries are implementing an environmental revolution in industry and households, the symbol of the state must become a leading force in the green revolution because the Knesset's role is to protect future generations, and environmental protection is the essence of this; those who want to think far must think green."

With the establishment of the solar system on the roof of the building, the Knesset of Israel will join various parliaments around the world that have similar systems, including Germany, Australia, and India, and will become the parliament with the largest photovoltaic system in the world.
