Smart Power Strip Enlogic EN2.0 PDU in different colors

PDU in different colors
PDUs of different colors are undoubtedly valuable for the operation and maintenance of your IT infrastructure, especially when they help you

Identify the various power sources you need for survival for critical IT equipment or when maintenance is required.
At the same time, in order to purchase units in different colors you must meet the requirements of
• Minimum order quantities,
• Bear additional costs as adaptation to your requirements is required
• Long delivery times.
All of these mean that in most cases you will have to give up embedding PDUs in different colors in the server cabinet.

Get to know the PDU from the Enlogic Advantage series!

Whether you need remote access monitoring, outlet metering or outlet switching, all Enlogic Advantage Series PDUs include the

Enlogic's exclusive patent - you can set a different display color from 7 possible colors and thus identify the power source connected to the PDU.

Administrators can remotely configure the color LED display frame to help site administrators quickly identify PDU A and B power sources, eg red and blue.
For Enlogic PDUs:
• There are no minimum order quantities.
• No sunk costs are required for customizing the display color.
• No long lead times for custom Pdu manufacturing and delivery.
• There is no need to keep a quantity of colored PDUs in stock.
As your IT infrastructure evolves, you can easily redeploy the Enlogic Advantage Series PDU in another rack

without worrying about the wrong color of the PDU. All you have to do is reconfigure the desired color LED border to help identify its power source.

Additional features include:
• Outlets are color-coded by a switch - in order to easily identify each group of outlets
• +/- 1% accuracy in billing rating
• Working temperature up to 60 degrees
• 2 network inputs, one at giga speed for fast performance - more and the other for chaining and survival for connecting another source
• Innovative design which allows any PDU, regardless of the number of sockets, to enter a 42U cabinet.
• Secured with UL2900-1 certification
• The hot-swappable management card without the need for tools, a feature that allows repairs to be made without shutting down the server cabinet
• DC voltage backup to ensure constant work without drops even during fault alerts.
• You can add up to 8 environmental monitoring and access control sensors
• Concatenation of up to x 64 PDUs using a single IP address
• 5 year warranty

PDU - Power distribution unit also called "socket strip" is a solution for splitting power supply to consumers.
We distinguish between a basic socket strip (PDU-Power distribution unit) and a smart socket strip (IPDU-Intelligent Power distributer unit).

While a normal strip of sockets only provides a solution for supplying electricity to consumers, a smart strip of sockets has several significant advantages:
Allows the user to access real-time power consumption data and environmental sensors through a standard network connection
The control of the socket strip is done through the local communication network or over the Internet so that the system can be accessed from anywhere and at any time.
Allows full redundancy, both electrically and at the communication level
A variety of monitoring and control tools that allow:
Improved usability
Load Balancing
Load Shedding
Gradual activation
remote boot
Makes it possible to concentrate the environmental sensors and the security of the base in one product
A universal solution, regardless of the type of equipment installed in the base or the manufacturer
Provides a solution for monitoring loads and distributing electricity charges in shared data center spaces
Allows tracking and auditing of electricity bills

The PDU socket strip connects horizontally (1U) or vertically to the rear of the base (0U).

For the sake of electrical redundancy, it is customary to connect 2 socket strips in each base (explained below), each of which is fed from a different electrical field.

Two types of smart socket strips can be distinguished:

Monitored socket strip - provides real-time data such as:

The general power consumption or at the consumer level. (depending on the model)
Input voltage data
work frequency
Environmental variables - temperature, humidity, flooding, etc. (by connecting sensors)
Managed socket strip - in addition to the data similar to the monitored socket strip, it is also possible to control remote switching on and off at the output level. This capability provides a number of important tools in the management of the server room:
Possibility of performing a remote electric start for faulty equipment
Turning off non-essential equipment during a power outage (to reduce loads) or a fault in the air conditioning system (to reduce the heat load)
Shutdown operations can be performed automatically according to the indications received from the uninterruptible power supply sensors or environmental sensors
Staged switching on of consumers when the electricity goes up (to prevent momentary overload)
Perform a scheduled shutdown or reboot automatically

Considerations in choosing a PDU:
1. Entering the entry -

single-phase or three-phase,
16A or 32A
Connector type - C20, Cycon, etc.

2. The mix of outlet sockets - it is customary to combine two main types of connections (in a ratio of 1:4 to 1:6):

C13- This is the most common connection, used by consumers up to 10A
C19- is used by consumers up to 16A
The number of outlets is derived from the required number of consumers.

3. The level of monitoring required - is monitoring required at the outlet level or monitoring at the outlet strip level only.

4. Monitored PDU or managed PDU - in addition to the monitoring capabilities, is the ability to control remote switching off and on also required.

Advantages of combining Enlogic solutions in the server room or DATA CENTER:

A very wide variety of combinations to find the ideal solution
Compliance with the strict electrical standards
Working temperature of up to 60 degrees
The communication module can be hot swapped without disabling the socket strip and the equipment connected to it

In order to improve efficiency, each PDU is divided into two zones. The zones are separated by marking in two different colors in order to facilitate connection management.

Protection of the connected equipment against overload by Hydraulic

The PDU feed cable can be adjusted to any situation (cable length, connector type and direction of cable entry into the PDU)

A variety of options for installation in the base, including the ability to install without tools

Possibilities for concatenating several socket strips for the benefit of uniform management and redundancy at the communication level

A variety of management options, for example through the display panel or a convenient and intuitive browser-based interface

A wide range of complementary accessories for monitoring and protecting the server room:

  • A wide variety of sensors
  • Connecting cables with locking (locking cords)
  • Security products for locking the base, for example an HID lock
  • Expansion hub for environmental sensors Sensor pod
