Electric Vehicle Revolution In Israel
The Electric Vehicle Revolution in Israel
With the trend toward green energy in Israel and around the world, the demand for electric vehicles (EVs) is steadily increasing.
According to a forecast report prepared by "B.D.O," by 2030, the number of private electric vehicles in Israel is expected to range between approximately half a million and over one and a half million vehicles.
One of the main factors driving the growth in vehicle deliveries, according to the report, is a significant anticipated decrease in battery prices in the coming years, to the extent that the price of an electric vehicle will be comparable to that of a gasoline vehicle.
In addition to this, the gradual decline in electricity prices due to the power company's shift to gas and solar energy, the significantly lower maintenance costs for electric vehicles, their low pollution levels, and regulations encouraging the transition to green energy all contribute to the shift toward electric vehicles.
It is noteworthy that in Europe and many other countries, the revolution is in full swing, and regulations in many nations promote the transition to green energy.
For example, in Paris, starting in 2030, gasoline and diesel vehicles will not be allowed to enter the city. In the UK, it has been decided that from 2040, there will be a complete ban on the sale of gasoline and diesel vehicles altogether. In Norway, the market share of electric vehicles already exceeds 30%, and the growth rate increases year by year.
The penetration rate of electric vehicles in Israel depends on various factors that will enable ease of operation and convenient, fast service. One significant factor is the pace of public charging infrastructure deployment, which will allow accessibility to charging in locations such as malls, hotels, parking lots, and more.
